Estou tentando criar um controle de login para a minha aplicação mas não estou encontrando uma maneira de fazer isso. Gostaria que fosse um controle de login completo, onde pudesse cadastrar novos usuários, recuperar as senhas destes, etc.

Alguém pode me dar uma dica de como fazer isso?

Sei que o Visual Studio possui as ferramentas mas nunca mexi com isso e gostaria de aprender.

Vou dar um exemplo de infraestrutura de login que tenho aqui. Basicamente é um Controller, mais os provedores de acessos básicos baseados no Membership. É uma abordagem um pouco antiga, mas bem didática.

Antes de mais nada, instale na sua solução os seguintes pacotes NuGet:

  • @JoaoPaulo Primeiro implemente todas as classes. Depois modifique os métodos CreateUserAndAccount e ValidateUser do CustomMembershipProvider com as particularidades do seu sistema.
